The External Advisory Board- Wisconsin MBA

Image
Decisions are part of our everyday life. Some decisions are made in seconds, while others last days or months. For me, a decision that took a while was where to attend Business School. I spoke with a lot of schools and after much research, I decided to apply to Wisconsin. Although there are many reasons why I chose Wisconsin, today I'd like to focus on the External Advisory Board.  "The A.C. Nielsen Center External Advisory Board is a highly involved group of senior level executives who serve as the voice of industry and help guide the development of program curriculum and networking for job opportunities... Each student is assigned two mentors within the external advisory board to assist in their career development." I recently attended my first External Advisory Board (EAB) meeting, and it was nothing short of amazing. These senior level executives are extremely involved and are eager to guide and help students as they seek internships and full-time career

How did I get here? As I meet people, I am always interested in their story. Where did they come from? What hobbies do they enjoy? What is their family like? Where do they work? What do they like/dislike about their jobs? What's their fav. food? etc. Everyone has a story to tell, and I love to hear it. Lately, I have been contemplating my story. And how it is that I got to where I am today. Here a list of places I have lived: Mendoza, Argentina- 1989-2000 Queens, New York. 2000 Kearny, New Jersey. 2000-2001 Harrison, New Jersey. 2001-2003 Gilbert, Arizona. 2003-2008 Philadelphia Area, Pennsylvania. 2008-2010 Eden, Utah. 2010 Rexburg, Idaho. 2010-2013 Houston, Texas. 2013-2017 Madison, Wisconsin. 2017- present  Each of these places have had lasting memories, but the people I have met along the journey have made a tremendous impact in my life. I was inspired by a close friend and mentor, Mike Murray, to write short stories
